I have just been on my Wii Fit for 15 minutes.
So what exactly is the wii fit if you're not lucky enough to own one of your own?
The Wii Fit is a game for the Nintendo Wii, intended to give people all the fun of a video game but more interactive and 'get people off the sofa.'On the wii fit you can weigh yourself, monitor your weight and set goals for weight loss (or gain as the case may be) and do fun and challenging exercises.
The games available are very varied, from hula-hooping to ski-jumping and advanced yoga poses. You stand on the Balance Board and follow the on-screen instructions depending on whatever exercise you have chosen.
It also has a competitive nature, as multiple people can register and you can battle to beat your sister's score on hula-hooping or your aunt's distance on ski-jump.
The only down's side I find, is that the weights are very inaccurate (in my case.) My weight once apparently dropped by 15 pounds overnight, and the next day I had gained 11, which is humanly impossible.
In conclusion, the Wii Fit is a wonderful way to exercise and it can be quite funny watching people fail miserably as long as you don't take it very seriously.
I would really like one of those - my competitve nature would kick right in!
ReplyDeleteI remember on the dance mat the weights and calorie burning was never accurate. You'd do an hour's non-stop sweaty dancing and apparently burnt less than 100 calories.
You'll need to come visit me and play on mine.
ReplyDeleteLong way to drive for a shot on the wii fit though. :P
