First Post

Whoah, this takes me back. To the days of 12 year old, Doc-Marten wearing, naive Robyn.

Anyway, enough about me. This blog is designed to be less of a place where I go on about me, more of a place where I go on about the WORLD.

Starting with....

My local area. I live in a small town, which I detest. Reasons:

  • It stinks of rotten chicken guts. (Thanks to a chicken factory where they kill, gut and process chickens. They then dispose of the chicken guts in a big bin which really, really stinks. I hope you've already eaten.)

  • A murderer lives just down the road from me. He killed a teenage boy and dumped him in the river.

  • It's 15 miles from any of my friends and the bus costs nearly my entire week's pocket money to get there.

  • It's full of horrid people. You know the sort. That wear trashy revealing clothes, have babies at age 15, and drunk old men that are always smoking. They hang outside pubs and smoke and whistle when you go past.

I go to school in a bigger town called Perth, which is quite large as towns in Scotland go. It's here I have my future mapped out. I am going to get a flat next to the river and work in this beautiful little coffee shop that overlooks the river. It's called Cupcakes.

Nobody seems to go there so I think I'll post a mini-review.

Cupcakes: A small shop, with a pink and green painted front, with the word CUPCAKES painted in red. Chinese lantern fairy lights frame the word Cupcakes. Step inside, and a mix of pop music and classic hits play at a gentle background noise level. Downstairs, pink leather sofas, upstairs, chairs and tables.

Behind a glass counter lie a very tempting range of cupcakes, decorated with different fruit, sprinkles and generally very yummy looking.

Friendly staff come up to you every five minutes in pink cupcake-patterned aprons asking if they can get you anything else. I don't go there often as it gets quite expensive but it is where I want to work when I'm older.

Okay, that concludes that....
